Those little lamb chops are heading for an average of $100 a kilo inside a few years if the keep rising at their current rate...


In ABCD land they will probably be about $8 a kilo at that point....

It's $2.50 a kilo in my local butchers for dog food !

Not many beaches in Manchester as well. Sitting on the banks of the river Irwell had a minimal attraction. :)

I'm sure those who say you can get by on 'no money' have never been even close to that position in their lives. I spent many years as a child where either I ate, or my mother did. Invariable that...

I can see how a backpacker, with zero commitment and nothing more important to do than scratch their own backside, can get by without much money. That doesn't really apply to most of us though does...

My local Dan Murphy's has some Czech beer in bottles... but its just not the same as getting on draught. Same with the UK beers that are available.

Not that rare... I've just this min heard on the radio that there was 4.5million cinema viewings last week in Australia. Almost 1 in 5 of the population.

No arguement with any of that.. it was just when the Nissan main dealer, who I knew would be stupidly expensive for tyres because main dealers always are, said $485 each my response was "faaaarrrkk'n...

More expensive ones than those !!

Dunlop Grandtrek ST20's 225/65R18. Nissan quoted me $485 EACH !

Started ringing round and got some around the $360 mark if I bought four at once. Still too...

Nahhh.. debate over. I got a set of tyres for near $800 less than the Dunlops I had on the car from new and all the info I can glean from the web suggests the cheaper ones I put on are better....
