I know someone who went there, he'd be 30ish now. He was one of three non-Asian children in his year. He's a ginger!

Ahem. My children went to school there. The only way in which the school could be considered dreadful is in terms of sporting facilities, the school had no arena so they played iced hockey at Moss...

More than an hour on the train, say three hours a day total, and then you're in Bradford. What a horrible idea.

Leaside. Express bus down Jarvis, walk from there.
Cabbagetown. Walk to work, walk to the zoo, accept that it's both rich and poor.
Beach. Accept that the commute will be more than half an hour.

My least favorite is the corner of College and Broadview. Hundreds of people try to get on. Almost all of them have invalid transfers and/or forged passes. If the driver chooses to make a fuss over...

Pizzawheel is right though, you don't want to set up a commute involving changing from the east-west to north-south lines if you can possibly avoid it. This is a mark against living on the Danforth.

Most of the Danforth would be nice to live in, lots of parks, some lovely houses, walk to shops, pubs and restaurants, easy transport links. I don't know about schools though, my kids commuted...

I bloody hope not! We lived in Leslieville for ten years or so. At that time one daughter was a lifeguard at Greenwood pool and I commuted to town by tram. It was, an is, an area of terraced houses...
