I agree that there seem to be more Ram Duallys out there than Ford or Chevy/GMC. I had a Dodge Caliber a few years ago it was 'OK' but nothing special and I was rather glad when it got totaled. :o

On my truck, you have to catch it while it's 'talking' and adjust the volume. i.e. while it's announcing directions, adjust the volume. It does the same on my wife's car as well.

I bought a Silverado 1500 in January 2018. We recently upgraded our travel trailer which took us over the limit of the 1500 so have now upgraded to a GMC Sierra 2500HD.

There has been a lot of flak on the Chevy/GMC forums about the 8-speed being very clunky and harsh shifting. I thought it was going away in favour of the 10-speed.

If you have the funds available, take the new car and sell the old one privately. I did this several years ago and got about $3,000 more privately than was offered for trade. $7,000 vs $4,000.

To add to the equation, his 18mpg (US) equates to 22.5mpg (UK) and when you factor in the price, it equates to getting 45mpg in the UK.
