Thanks, Szeged, for the info - I remember graduating from uni as a singular event - it was just my two profs (pure maths and applied maths ...) and me being interviewed for an hour...

Is that "ballagás"?

That's an important event in Hungary, you get to wear some kind of formal clothing (almost like a uniform) and then there's a picture to be made of the whole class.
