Every EV that I'm aware of won't let you do that. It just won't go into D/R with anything connected to the charge port, even if it's not powered.

Yes, I have owned a few and a total EV convert now. I got rid of my BMW M850i and replaced it with a 2022 Tesla Model S Long Range which is amazing.

Surely if you can charge at home then this is a total contradiction? You just plug it in when you get home at night and wake up with more than enough range and never have to go to a gas station...?

Have you considered the VW e-Golf? If you don't need huge range it's great for town driving.

I got a brand new SEL Premium for just over $20k earlier this year (after the Federal tax credit)....

Same, I put it in my calendar every 5 months. When I called last month they didn't even do the usual $99 for 12 months, $49 for 6 months, put you on hold, oh how about $25 for 5 months then routine,...
