Did you live with a mortgage that was 15%? We did as did many others. At least people have a chance of paying their mortgages with interest rates so low in the UK. As for the matter of crucifying...

Having lived through the recession of the 1990´s with much more unemployment and jobs and home losses and with interest rates at 15% I do not see how a Conservative Government would have done any...

Not really we try to tie it in with flights to and from Gib and share with neighbours who are also going. The savings are quite substantial, i.e. cheddar cheese loads of stuff much cheaper now.

Because of the weak pound we have started shopping in Gib and have found it cheaper, i.e. cheese at 1.99 for Irish mature cheddar, Mercadona at 4.80 euros. Fuel cheaper too.

Got less than 1 euro to 1 pound today with Currencies Direct. Has anyone had a bank transfer in the last few days with a better rate as am thinking of changing.
