Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

You'll be pleased to know that I'm not disagreeing with your interpretations, but I can't go as far as agreeing with you, because I do not interpret things in the same way!! Crime stats for an...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

You do have to remember tho that Australia does work for lots of people, and liking the place does not make you a moronic, brainless amoeba.

I do know exactly what you mean about people who come...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

What a bizarre interpretation of my posts. Show me again where I criticised Australia. Go on, please. Or are you referring to the posts where I pointed out that Australia has issues in...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Where did I say that raising the retirement age in Australia will make it as crap as the UK? You're making things up as you go along!

Re-read my post - I said: "Australia passed legislation a...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Collapsing birth rate? Australia's birth rate in 2000 was half of what it was in 1960. Now, it is virtually the same as the UK (not sure if it's marginally higher or lower). Who is going to fund...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

I will add, Denver, that you are making massive generalisations about the UK, when in fact your experience is largely limited to London. Whenever I phone my doctor, for example, I always get a same...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Going back to my original point to the OP, I said "Australia has the same issues as the UK - some better, some worse". And what I meant was, that in going to Australia you will not escape the...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Trapped indoors? Why???? Are you allergic to cloud/rain/cold? FFS, have you got no imagination? I took my 2-year old out to a NT park today. It was pouring with rain so we put on our waterproofs...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Different issue affect different people. You don't need me to tell you that. (or do you? )

All countries have issues,so you don't need to be an expert on Australia or the UK (I'm...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Tableland seems to change his stance according to the seasons. I reckon he's currently in the doldrums due to UK winter! In Aug 2005, he wrote this:

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Tableland, for what its worth, posting an opinion that Australia might offer a better future than the UK from someone who has never lived a day-to-day existence in Australia holds no water. Most...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!

Yeah, there is crap everywhere.

As for the OP, leaving the UK because of the NHS/house prices/police/government IMO is not a good reason to go, and perhaps certainly not to Australia for those...

Re: to all who are thinking of returning!
