It's just that I never heard of a 4kW limit on a house supply, in any of the countries I have lived and there have been 5 others,

I just do a deduction from the my UK otherwise £1,500 council tax.

Like in Thailand the cops take 200 baht (£4) off me when they "think" I am speeding, happens about once every 2 years, the cop...

These consumption figures are really not that relevant.

Examples:-

1. 5 minutes in a 10kW shower (which is a maximum consumption where the IC water is very cold and the shower boiling hot)...

I haven't been here 5 minutes as see that is true, but all these countries have crap TV, I lived in Denmark for a few years and their TV was 100% drivel.

Instead of looking at costs, look at the savings.

Council tax, saving 1500-2000 euro pa and about the same for gas and leccy...So that is 3-4k pa.

Less pressure to spend money you don't have on...
