Re: Let's talk about cars

A pet peeve is that there are no longer Dodge Trucks; they are now just Rams. I've never owned one, but Dodge trucks have a long history. If I see a Ram, I think of it as a Dodge.

Re: Let's talk about cars

Jeez man. I've done that drive [both ways] during winter and I always check road conditions in advance. And if it looks dicey, I check enroute early enough at alternatives [e.g. I-5 south at CA-46...

Re: Let's talk about cars

Re: Let's talk about cars

The Isuzu's I've seen in the US are the cab-over trucks. If memory serves me correct, the "Dura-Max" line of Diesel engines was a joint-venture between GM and Izusu.

Chevy's New Line Of Cabover...

Re: Let's talk about cars

There was one but on September 18, 2015 it was withdrawn from the US market.

Do you consider BMW to be affordable? I don't know if Mercedes has a wagon currently.

For some reasons I cannot...

Re: Let's talk about cars

You have me confused. Diesel is $2.439/gal while premium is $3.069/gal. It costs more to feed my other half's Beemer given the 60 cent differential between diesel fuel and premium gasoline.

Re: Let's talk about cars

I hope the price differential between gasoline and diesel stays in place. The combination of lower fuel consumption and lower price is nice.

We'll see what happens.

Re: Let's talk about cars

re Volkswagen TDI -- I am NOT, repeat NOT, a happy camper.

The curious part is the message push on g-mail and FaceBook from various law firms. I sometimes wish for the days when us legal types...

Re: Let's talk about cars

The "bugeye" was originally designed to have hidden headlights, but the feature was eliminated in production due to cost. I find it amusing that hidden headlights are no longer a feature on new cars...

Re: Let's talk about cars

A firm that I used to work for provided us legal types with 2001 Lincoln LS V-6. I actually liked the car a lot. However, it did not age well and we were happy to turn it in at the end of the...

Re: Let's talk about cars

It does feel "weird" but it does a better job than the driver can. In the race car classes that allow ABS, I understand the top drivers don't mind and that a good well calibrated ABS can improve lap...

Re: Let's talk about cars

I'm really curious. I've been unable to find information about Cord hatchbacks. I think they had made only sedans.

Re: Let's talk about cars

Boy this takes me back over 40 years to law school.

Two -- did the dealer breach the contract? Assume she did.
Three -- what are the remedies?
