But you should start your quest for a joint sponsor there, and only move on to your mother- or father-in-law if joint sponsorship by one of your wife's siblings is impossible.

So one of them may be able to be a joint sponsor, but expect some very probing questions about their status in the UK, and I certainly wouldn't bet the farm on one of them be accepted as your joint...

That's irrelevant to the definition of "missionary", which for the purposes of visas and immigration has nothing to do with proselytizing your beliefs or "baptizing the natives".

All US citizens aged 18 or older are required to file tax returns no matter where in the world they live, with very few exceptions, most notably if their income is very low. So it should have been...
