My F350 needs replacing, I am told the 6.7 Ford diesel is still a little hit and miss. I am hearing a lot of good things about the straight six 6.7...

Re: Let's talk about cars

We have one for our F-350, the good is it keeps whatever you have in the back dry and relatively secure, the bad obviously is you have height limitations.
I forget the price it was ordered to match...

Re: Let's talk about cars

The " squirrel cage " heaters on the Series 2 /2A Rovers are truly worthless.

The Series 3 and Defender heaters are not bad.

I did see a picture of a Rover with a small woodstove fitted, it was...

Re: Let's talk about cars

A friend in Ford Development told me the V10 was produced as Dodge had one in the Viper and truck, it is a "modular" engine so adding two cylinders to a V8 was relatively easy.
The Ford diesels...

Re: Let's talk about cars

Correct I tend to favor the more obscure models.
A friend of mine in Saudi had a bronze one and rolled it missing a camel on the " Christian Highway " that goes around Mecca, it sustained very...

Re: Let's talk about cars

We have an operation similar to what you have in mind. We ship container loads of motorcycles to the UK and use the pounds to buy spare parts in the UK and ship them to the USA.
Regarding cars we...

Re: Let's talk about cars

Very anecdotal but when we pick up a car from the docks we never see many British cars at the terminals.
There is traffic both ways definitely, most of the European exporters have an agent in the...

Re: Let's talk about cars

Definitely, one chap ran an Excursion with a huge amount of lift ( twin shock set up ) with a V10 engine which was clearly too small to opted for a large Cummins / Allison set up.

Re: Let's talk about cars

In our neck of the woods in addition to the lift a pair of exhaust pipes behind the cab pointing up making a load roar and emitting a large cloud of black smoke under acceleration is popular. One...
