I have ten years commercial experience in the shipping industry. I studied law to move into Shipping law. Even with my experience I didnt get interviews with major Shipping law firms when people I knew who didnt know one end of a ship from another did get interviews. Most people working in shipping have a poor opinion of lawyers because they dont understand the commercial needs of their clients. Now I can see why!

the extra year he did would probably have been the Legal Practice Course. Did mine at Nottingham Law School which is one of the top 3.
I have ten years commercial experience in the shipping industry. I studied law to move into Shipping law. Even with my experience I didnt get interviews with major Shipping law firms when people I knew who didnt know one end of a ship from another did get interviews. London was too expensive for me. Even at Nottingham the tuition fees for 1 year were GBP 8,500.
