Didn't do my 2 years as a trainee so I didn't qualify as a solicitor. The firms in my area of expertise didnt want me and I didnt want to work for some little high street law firm. Just did all the boring unpaid bits. Only finished the Legal Practice Course in 2006 so could still go back to it if things change.

I am not Chartered. I just did the degree. At Newcastle. So I've got a Geordie QS degree.

There is a Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) which you have to sit an assessment for, then pay fees every year to, just to have letters after your name.

unfortunately its not so easy. I did training periods with firms where partners asked me for advice because of my commercial experience, yet when it came to offering training contracts they gave them to 22 year olds straight from Uni (the right Uni's)

I can understand that, it took my friend a year to get at training contract and he was a Durham graduate who had gone onto do an extra year - can't remember what in. He got there in the end though. I wouldn't give up

I'm qualified as a professional procrastinator - I have a fine arts degree in drinking and seduction from Austin Powers university and I also have a masters in eccentricity.

Oh and I'm a Financial Advisor as well but I try not to let my career interfere with my debauchery
