Room for a little 'un (+dog)?
hi all,
posted on 'the welcome inn' but it appears i should have posted on here ??
Does anyone have any personal knowledge, or possibly know someone who has, of 'Calico Park' at Vila Nova De Cacela; E.Algarve ?
I have contacted their website and like the look of the place and properties available there but it can be a bit daunting doing online shopping.
I may just venture over there and rent something short term whilst getting a feel for the place in the first instance.
Any advice will be gratefully received, especially travelling to Portugal with a canine companion tips?
many thanks guys!

I have only been in the vicinity of it and driven around.. I thought it looked nice and depending on spot you could have nice views.
You would need a car I think.
What the feeling part of a community means to you will depend.
The client opinions on the website are favourable
You'd have to check if dogs were allowed

hELLO,
I have walked round the site(not stayed there).,about 2 years ago.
It has a small restaurant, shop ,pool and reception.Depending where you are, there are reasonable views.Personally I thought it was a bit cramped and could do with better planning for the plots. You'd need a car. Don't know about dogs.
I would definately have a look first before you commit yourselves.Mixture of different nationalities.

Thanks for your input folks! As you both seem to concur, I will indeed arrange to view before taking the plunge.
I have made enquiries re. purchasing a campervan (i have one now but it's more of a 'dayvan') with a view to taking a tour through France, Spain and on to Portugal/algarve. This may seem an expensive and time-consuming exercise but I'm in no rush and i'll get a much better feel for the various places as I go along.
Who knows, I may just settle on the transient lifestyle if it suits my needs, at least in the short-term?
many thanks for your interest Campanula and Toot Sweet.:
