Default Legal limit to store petrol at home

Does any one know what is the legal limit regarding storing petrol for use of a generator and car at home.?

How long can petrol be stored before it is not fit for use?

Thanks

Petrol is god for a few months in a vented container, or years in a sealed container.
However, a sealed container will become pressurized slightly, or a lot if the sun hits it.

I don't know how much you're allowed to store at home.

I keep as much as 10 liters of petrol and rather a lot of of diesel.
