My visa nomination email came through!!! There is a facebook page been setup for successful applicants. This will not be posted on here for obvious reasons. Its a good idea to get involved with it as it will help with the whole process as there is going to be info from serving officers from uk who can give up to date info on the move. Also a social side for meets especially important for partners coming out i think. There may also be jobs posted on there for partners of wapol officers. The details are at the bottom of the email you will get in red. Good luck people. This .... just got real!!

Yeah I can see the point, I guess I'm thinking of a bigger picture, meeting more people outside the immediate police circle maybe? Specially for partners who may get bored of shop talk!! Anyway, each to their own, only having been a very lost new migrant myself any avenue to friendship was good, especially with people who already know about life here. And through BE I do now have a mate who is a Queensland cop

Too true about the Australia forum, you get heaps info about cost of living, suburbs, schools, places to visit and if brave enough, the Barbie section not only full of banter but all the weird things about Oz! Even if not posting, I highly recommend reading those pages!
