As I thought, it has indeed been a mighty long time since it was this scorchio.

Re: Scorching !
I suppose it is all in the scorchio count.
To date, I could not give a scorchio day.
A scorchio hour or four. A windy , making it scorchio morning or afternoon.
A scorchio day - no.
Today, there has been a scorchio afternoon. 2pm - 6pm Windy mind. Very windy. So scorchy on the burn front.

It has been scorchio with low humidity for days in Cambridge, and I am loving it.
Rain forecast later this week, which is ok cos the garden needs it ... I 'spose. Much less bothered about the garden's needs now it's not my garden and would be happy for an endless low-humidity summer.

Yesterday was scorchio for sure. Sunday afternoon was scorchy.
Today is not scorchy at all which I far prefer.

Re: Scorching !
Have started - just about - to get some sense of summer in the last couple of weeks… I had the last week of January of work and it was well sunny.
But.
What's with the wind?? Dunno if it's been the same all over Auckland - or rest of NI for that matter, but it's been redonkeylous. I didn't settle in our lovely NShore to get Wellington style winds! We have an outdoor gas powered water boiler system, and it's been blown out 3 times since New Year. To put into perspective it only ever used to happen during storm - 2-3 times a year. But 3 times in a month and a bit? Jezzus.

Re: Scorching !
Been a horrible sort of scorch here, just hot, grey and oppressive humidity. Cicadas are still awake and have been mental and going at it all through the past couple of nights and my hair looks like 'Crystal Tipps' frizz bomb.
