Tonga, Samoa, Nieue, Tokelau. And their skirts come in different styles.
The women tend to wear flowery dresses.
The squalid house across the street is lived in by native born Kiwis
or "Palangi" as Samoans say (Pakeha in Maori), so there's
a good mix of peoples. I once saw them at the local Countdown.
Nosy as I am I took note of what groceries they were buying. Mostly
sausages (saussies!), of course. With a smattering of canned Watties
spaghetti thrown in for variety.

If you want to be shocked, eat some real island food: canned
corned beef, boiled taro, povi masima, and KFC.

If you want KFC culture shock, the Japanese eat KFC as their Xmas dinner, which they celebrate on December 24th.
