Am a site manager based in civils here in the uk. I have been working with a recruiter based in Christchurch and got to second stage interview but in the end the job went in house this was a month ago. And I haven't heard anything since are things slowing down as this is what recruitment agency have said But when I look around contracts are still being won. My question is what else can i try?

WE have everything in place to move paperwork wise i just need a job offer.

A time back there was a big news story about a large company going bankrupt and the knock on affect it had on sub contractors who obviously have missed out on money owing.

But I have seen a few people getting great help from a Company called Canstaff but not sure what type of work they cover, so maybe look them up on

There is still plenty of work available in Christchurch, I myself work in the construction industry as a contracts manager and we are turning work down, some good agencies to use are Hudson, Stellar, Hayes Tradestaff to name a few, keep trying 👍
