Very expensive it’s 20p per mb or in better context £200 per gb

Lots of alternatives but really depends on how much data you need and how long for (assuming you don’t live here ? ) cheapest option is a local SIM, roaming on a UK SIM will generally always be expensive.

A good option is to get yourself an Etisalat visitor line when you get here

You can add various packs depending what you want. It looks like you currently get a 100aed Careem ride and unlimited use of Etisalat wifi as a bonus.

Can I not use it for a year, then use it on my return to UK?
