Yet another Dubai pay question...
Hi,
I've been approached by a head hunter agency with a position with a very reputable company based in Dubai.
It is a contract position with nothing included for a rate of 44k AED / month.
I have a wife and three kids (11, 8, 5).
I've used the "Is it worth it" spreadsheet, and to me 44k seems marginal allowing for:
3-4 bed villa in family friendly area - 180,000
Schooling for three primary kids - 180,000 (Is this excessive??)
We're planning on my wife getting work, but not taking that into account.

Hi. A bloke at our place is in pretty much the same situation in terms of package (he's on 40k), with 3 kids and wife not working. He lives out Jebel Ali way (cheaper), the kids go to Indian rather than Western schools, and he's struggling to save anything. I would say marginal, not enough.

P.S. I've just remembered that my mate at work doesn't drink either, so that's extra on the budget if you're fancying the odd pint in The Irish Village etc at £7 a go, in which case a bit too marginal I would say.

No worries. Any chance they can contribute to school fees? That would make all the difference.
There's good info on school fees on this site, if you haven't seen it already:
Dubai School Fees 2015/2016
Good luck.
