Re: UAE experience
It means willingness to accept a bit of unusual goings on.
Contract different to what you were promised?
AC repairman looks suspicioulsy like the plumber/ Tv installer/ taxi driver/ dentist?
you will be expected to smile and let it go.

Re: UAE experience
Three weeks into a new role and I still do not see why having no UAE experience is such a block. Glad that I am over this hurdle and to everyone else there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: UAE experience
A lot of guys come out and jack after 3 months costing the company a lot of time, cost and effort. Why take the risk when you can have someone who likes it out here ?

Re: UAE experience
I can understand why this might happen in Bahrain, but not Dubai. I can also see that you have such a high esteem for the area. Anyway I did not have the cost issue as I am on my husband's visa. Plus we bring a 'can do' attitude and professionalism which is sadly lacking in lots of people who have been here a while.

There you go, I can add this to my profession, just need to get over the fear of heights first though. Just being my fluffy happy self. Even more so after seeing James Morrison in concert. can wait and I can't even blame any alcohol, just being happy.

I get my work done in a surly, uncooperative, mean spirited, parsimonious and tardy manner. Sweetness and light needs 20% higher salary, professionalism needs another extra 20%

Re: UAE experience
I am completely anti rules and regulations, so HR would be a nightmare as I go for what is right and wrong and not because of A,B,C. Currently working as an EA who takes no prisoners with a human heart. Too many egos around to let it bother me as life is too short.
