We took them to the food court at the shopping centre so they could choose. They had freshii so did I. Husband had Opa. Think our daughters had A&W

We took it all home. They ate then fell into bed.

I wish some of the people I've sat near on long haul flights had a problem with gas afterwards, instead of during!

Isn't it funny (but good) how we're all different. I've done more Australia - UK flights than I care to remember, and after the dabs of something vaguely savoury or sweet that constitutes airline food all I want is a good old sarnie or bowl of homemade soup. Or toast and Vegemite, but that's only for a very specific demographic

It's a question I'm currently pondering myself.
Brother arrives via airtransat on Wednesday.
As for the in flight meal I'm dreading to think what they are going to attempt to feed my celiac diabetic brother.

Well it might be better than the fish in tomato sauce that air Canada fed him for breakfast one time

If it's the Manchester flight it arrives early afternoon. We had friends over a couple of months ago who arrived on that flight. Food is not good.

As posted by HGerchikov...I served quiche, salad and potatoes...I also added chicken breasts. Assorted berries for dessert.

It was case specific. They've had a few on the plane and perhaps the airport before flying, it's 2.00 am their time. Maybe they don't want more booze.

What a sensible reply. I think 'proper sausage rolls' could be the solution to most problems in the universe. I would definitely eat a sausage roll when tired before bed...or at any other time

Like pizza, they'd be too greasy.

Don't get me wrong, I love sausage rolls, but I wouldn't thank you for a meal of sausage rolls after a long day of flying and travel.

What about using one of those delivery services like Skip the Dishes, that way you can order from any place you like.

She said she didn't want bread in any shape or form!

Edited to add, if I do salmon and rice, I use these rice packets for speed - they are really good - I can have the complete meal cooked in under 20 minutes. Don't cook the rice for more than 1min and squeeze it around a bit before opening and heating to separate the rice. Each packet serves 1. https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/kitchen.../6000196213998 It also comes in Jasmine or Brown Rice varieties.
Tomorrow? Tuesday in the afternoon at Pearson? My cousin arrives then. Air Transat 3pm. Shall we meet?

I'm going to make a quiche then husband has food ready when he gets home from work too.

Sausage rolls would be good, husband says that M &M are proper. Rice only takes 11 minutes in the microwave so no need for the little bags for me! Haha.
Delivery? You jest, nobody delivers here, though I could pick up pizza on the way home.
Nah. Quiche it is.

The gluten free food on AT is inedible. Remind him to take food with him.

So much for 13 dimensional strings then. I'm trying to visualise a 13 dimensional sausage roll with little success so far. Does a proper sausage roll have puff pastry 'cos that might help?

She won't be getting anything. The damn flight is delayed 12 hours and gets in at 2am now. Transat are blaming the weather in Toronto and yet other flights took off.
I'm now deciding whether to drive to Pearson and back in the early hours or to book a hotel for us.
At least at 2am the 401 will be moving.
Do they even have flights landing at night at Pearson?

Pearson operates 24/7/365, and although there are "restrictions" between 12.30am and 6.30am there are still both landings and takeoffs during those hours. There are annual caps on activity during the restricted hours, to ensure that night activity remains proportionate to overall activity levels.
