Septics shooting each other again.

Re: Septics shooting each other again.
The main difference I noticed between Canada and the US back in 1975 when I took the bus to Mexico and when I flew to Florida for 10 days some years back was the presence of armed guards where they don't exist in their Canadian counterpart settings (bus depot, grocery, liquor store). The changes creep up on you. I remember the first time I saw a mountie wearing body armour and thinking it looked not only uncomfortable but silly.

This gun thing is psychological and, rationally, difficult to understand.
When I was young I bought an MGA. It made me feel good and I drove it like a pratt. I had my only accident in that car because I behaved differently in that car than I had any car up to and from that date.
Imagine what I might have done if I'd owned an AR15.

Strange, given those numbers, I have not heard of a mass shooting anywhere near me. I hear gunfire from several directions at my home every weekend, and sometimes in the evenings during the week, and someone nearby seems to have a machine gun. Someone else (different direction) may have some sort of cannon because the sound is unlike any smallarm I know of.
I have never been concerned about being shot.
I have never been concerned about being shot.
This article has a map and it considers a mass shooting to be any shooting involving 4 or more people wounded or killed.
If I recall correctly, the FBI removes the gang on gang shootings from their stats, and the number is lower. Really depends on how the stats are being manipulated.

The ugly truth is that most, in fact not only "most" but a large majority, of shootings are drug and or gang related - IIRC 75% of Charlotte, NC's killings are drug/gang related, and most of the rest are domestics gone wrong. The reason that the large bulk of Americans are not overly concerned about shootings is that it is mostly society's garbage killing each other.

Using the FBI definition and as of the Oregon shootings, the number was at 32.
The FBI definition is 4 or more people are killed at one time, in one area excluding the shooter.
That largely eliminates all the criminal on criminal shootings.
According to the FBI violent crime in 2014 (latest available) was still falling, 6.9% lower then 2010 and 16% lower then 2005 levels. Of the the crimes considered violent, 1.2% were murder. Majority 63.6 was aggravated assault, followed by 28% robbery, 7.2% rape.
Overall your chances of being murdered in any form is pretty low.

There's an increasing number of US psyhco-killers. What is it? These americans they should run away. I've got nothing else to say really so my lips are sealed cos after saying things once I don't need to repeat myself. Still, maybe they don't like impolite people or something.

Unless they were just waiting for "the order" but something made them act independently thinking it was as good a time as any.

Great target from the martyr point of view, all civil servants packed together, unsuspecting and unprotected, there should still be a video or some sort of manifesto. I haven't been checking the news today. They had all the gear and the wife was ready to go, made arrangements to drop the kid off.... They weren't able to use the bombs which might point to a lack of support from outside but this was planned for some time. I think I read somewhere that some of the guns were purchased 4 years ago, though I could be wrong.
