Buying a holiday home in Sicily advice needed 😊
Hi
I am visiting Sicily in January with my partner to view a few properties.
I would like a bit of advice from British people that have bought in Sicily, did you also instruct a UK based solicitor when dealing with the legalities of buying or did you just use the notary - which is what I have been told by the agent is all I need?!
Also, how long did it take from putting in the offer to signing / owning the home? Do you pay a deposit straight away?
Can anyone also recommend local builders / decorators around the middle of the island?
Preferably someone you have used yourself who you had a good experience with....
