Hi safet,

what is your nominated occupation and what is your current job title, i think you need to explain that your present duties and resposibilities are similar to your nomianated occupation . If you have an agent it is better to consult them too.
I dont undestand when there are various assessment bodies who are nominated by the government to assess the qualification and work experience of applicant why this type of query is erupting from the DIAC. is it a ploy ???

Hi Rhonslat,
can you tell me how long it took to get sponsored by WA.
I sent them an application for state sponsorship early Jan 09 but haven't heard anything from them. Their website says 10 days, but thats long since passed.

Hello Dougie - we are actually already in Adelaide - we took a risk on a Tourist Visa first to get ourselves set up here. Today has been a brilliant day as we took out a 4 month rental on a new apartment. We have to hop over to NZ in order to get the visa. I tell you I need a holiday after all this stress!

We are loving Aus and Adelaide is a really lovely place. Where are you headed?

Hi Russ, Nice to hear another scot has been given a start for a new life in Oz, were from Dunfermline and hoping to follow this year, We are heading for Vermount south in Melbourne, where a friend has offered us their house until on our feet, Adelaide does look nice and would have been our first choice, but the offer of a house in melboure is too good to miss. We may visit Adelaide for a holiday and maybe some day move there after the state sponsor runs out, who knows. All the best m8
