Work visa help
Hi all, we need some advice, my husband and I have just received a pnp from bc but can only apply with the paper based application which says it will take around 18months ? So we were thinking we will apply for a work visa for my husband as he has a job offer, then we can get to Canada sooner and carry on our pr application while we are out there.
So my question is if my husband gets a work visa what do me and my children (5&9) need ? Do we just go along on his work visa or do we need to apply for some kind of visas ourselves, we can’t find much online.
Thank you in advance.
We are from the uk by the way.

Re: Work visa help
Not all streams are eligible for work permits, so it will depend on which you're applying under. But if he can get a work permit then you may be eligible for a spousal open work permit (depending on his job - again not all spouses are eligible) and your children will enter on visitor status.
If you can clarify what his job is and what PNP stream you're applying under, then we can try and help.

He is an electrician and has a valid job offer and PNP from British Columbia paper based.
