CoPR arrived today. going to find out tomorrow how long it will take to get an appointment to land and then see if it is worth doing a trip or just waiting to land at an office.

How far are you from the border?
Here in Vancouver it takes as long to get through on the phone to make the appointment as it does to drive to the border, but I realize for others it may be a significant journey.

Re: Express Entry Scores and Progress Thread
could be at the border in 4 hours or so.
i do not want to flagpole did it once before for a TWP got an admin refusal has not affected going to the states but there are stories of others having problems not sure it is worth the risk.
There is nothing remotely close to the border to go and see and activate the visa on the way back. if i was in Van i would just head to Seattle for the weekend.

As long as you don't have an ultra short expiry date on your COPR, it sounds like an appointment at an inland office is the way to go for you.
