HI all,
My wife ,Son and I are living in NZ at the moment but next year want to campervan around Europe and the uk ,we want to spend up to a year ,I was born in the UK and my son has a UK passport but my wife is 32 and never been to the UK or Europe has a Kiwi passport, she doesn't intend on working we have our own money, will we have to apply for any special visa's, would love to hear from people that have done it before ....

You can get a schengen visa for everywhere except the UK and Ireland. They are free of charge as long as you are travelling together. I'm not sure what the process is for extending it while in country but there will be one.
You apply for the visa from the country which will be the main one you are visiting. If there is not "main" country then apply from the country you exepct to enter first. If you get it wrong as your itinerary changes then there is no problem.
The form is the same for all the countries and you don't need to fill in any of the sections marked with a *
