When did Stockport become a part of Liverpool or was you meaning your origins are Liverppol or the connection to Liverpool being a footy fan?
On coming to Canada, do you or your OH qualify?
If you've never been here before, I suggest best time to come for a visit is mid January to end February time frame to get the 'real-feel'
If you've not already done the google, look at cost of living, rental/property prices, job availability, wages etc
As for Burlington, well it's a good or bad a place as anywhere else in Canada. Do you have relatives or friends living in Canada?
