I currently live in Victoria with my wife and 2 yr old daughter, and although we a really happy here, like many others, we cannot afford to buy. Even Langford is a bit of a stretch financially. We have a couple of friends who have moved to the Comox valley and they really enjoy living there.
We went to visit last months and I was very surprised to see that there was lots to do up there. There also seemed to be lots of young families around.

I may be able to work form home which would be great considering the job prospects don't seem great in the area.
I am just a little worried about being isolated with no friends up there, and my daughter growing up hating living in a smaller area.
Any advice would be appreciated.
