All risk/accidental break insurance

All risk/accidental break insurance
Can anyone recommend an insurance policy that covers accidental breaks of cameras, laptops, mobiles etc? I've got tenants insurance but it only covers particular major perils (fire, lightning, theft etc) and my insurance broker hasn't been able to help.

Other than home insurance, all you can get is what you buy in the store when you buy the appliance. Unless you have a major loss, insurance is not worth claiming on, premiums go up to cover claims. We now have a $1000 deductible and would not file a claim under $5000.

not sure if they are covered in your car here in AB either, i had my 7" screen satnav stolen from my car and it wasn't covered as it wasnt a permanent fixture to the car.
Insurance here is basic.
I didnt leave it in view it was in the glove box but the bracket was still there, The A-holes even scooped all my timmies change.
