Probably Melbourne worst winning display of the season, with the end result being a finals game v Perth.
Great .......... Brilliant planning on my behalf.... Got to watch the first knock out final v Perth at Etihad here in Melbourne.... In Perth LOL ! Almost impossible to have got it more wrong.
At least there will be some fellow Palace fans around

A League related question, is anyone going to the Victory vs Liverpool friendly? Being at the MCG will mean a big crowd but I don't think it is the ideal stadium for a football match. Has anyone watched football at the G, if so how was the view? I am looking at tickets for the second level as I think it will be a better view than ground level. Tickets go on sale this afternoon so I will be joining in the bun fight. Wish me luck!

Enjoy yourselves, hope you have a good day.
Personally I'd rather be watching MV v Green Gully in a meaningful cup game.
Caviet if it were away match in the UK I'd be there.

Presale tickets have pretty much gone with another allocation available at 3.00pm. There is a lot of anger from the Liverpool supporters groups at the quantity of tickets that were available on ebay within minutes of the presale opening at 9am. I have a feeling that lots of tickets may have sold but that there will be a lot of empty seats unless people are willing to stump up 4-5 times the face value.

ANZ probably will be sold out for that game, will be full of Asians wearing Man U tops, good day to go shopping in Chatwood as the place will be empty

Is it similar to the tickets for the Manchester United game in Sydney coming up? They only released a small amount of tickets for the 'first round sale', the second round is coming up in the next few weeks I think. I think the reasoning behind it is that by releasing in small chunks it keeps in the interest rolling rathern than just put 80,000 up all at once.

Meantime bloody no way MV deserved to get through over Perth, although I'll take it.
Not enjoyed this season as much as MV's league table and finals position would lead one to think. Been one of the more frustating seasons of following football. Too many lucky results against the run of play. I've lost count of how many stupid defensive errors I've seen, which are only eclipsed by the amount of dead cert goals that have been missed.
Only one decent game that I can recall.... I'm sure there were a couple of others, my match of the season was the 0-0 game v Brisbane of all games. Very good looking and creative football by both teams on that day.
Maybe the best is to come, But I wont hold my breath.
WSW have definitely been the highlight of this season and perhaps the whole of the A league to date.... although back to back champinships for MV and Brisbanes record beating 30 plus games without a loss will take some beating.

I probably couldnt articulate my contempt for these kind of games in person without going red in the face and starting to emit small amounts of spittle as I began to get overheated on the topic.

Worst side I have seen this season - Adelaide United, deserved to wooden spoon in my opinion. Beat them 6-1 at home and should have been more, Cassio probably one of the worst players. It was right that Brisbane beat them, Adelaide didn't deserve to be in the top six.
Anything can happen tonight, I think it will be a very close game and I wouldn't be surprised if we go to extra time or even penna's. Whatever happens tonight we have had one hell of a season.
CCM should be too good for MV on Sunday I think. The atmosphere will be dead as usual up at Gosford no doubt. If CCM as a club ever hits the skids I would worry for them, poor support in the good times, god knows what it would be like if things don't go so well. They are successful but as a club I am not convinced they are sustainable.

Tonight will be immense. Chuffed to have bagged 4 tickets earlier in the week.
I agree, think it'll be a very tight game with no more than a goal in it.....

Re: A League 2012/13
Anyway that was a very tight game, a late penalty won it for us in the end but Brisbane hit the post and cross bar I don't know how many times that day, we won 1 - 0 but we could have lost 5 - 1!
I agree that there will only be no more than one goal in it, if we survive the first 30 mins without conceeding I fancy us.
Have to stay around work in the city until around 5pm but will then be jumping on a trai back out to Parra, can't wait!!!!!!

The trains from Central to Gosford is going to be interesting on Sunday, so I'm told.
Not sure how many those trains hold, but one of erm is going to be packed out with Melburnians.
