When you get to the male/female question it says you can phone them if you do not identify with male or female.[/QUOT
That's good. Wonder if a few alternative boxes would be easier, people are obviously missing it. And really bit of an intrusion to have to ring up and explain! equal rights.
I'll be filling mine in.
And then, later in the month, I'll be traipsing round the streets to encourage others to fill in theirs, too.
There's a load of aging hippies here, no doubt there'll be resistance.[/QUOT
Uni son too. Very multicultural area. In our area forms were delivered, yet in Qld house partner just got number. Anyway the forms delivered were mostly sticking out mailboxes wet a fee days later. Going to be fun job!

Re: The Census
Also gender fluid. may drift between the 2. I am wondering how my bil will answer the census, long red hated big Aussie guy. Went super alternative in Canberra of all places. He is a wolf leader (don't ask lol) something to do with crystals and healing. His kids are cubs, and the wife is some subservient title I wish I could remember. Apparently they are all animals . Bet they need to ring the census a few times.

Incredible that the government managed to get geniuses on this helpline to determine over the phone what a person with no or both sexual organs should identify as. If that person decides they are male, would that qualify? Or does the LNP Genius Bar have to decide for them?

Re: The Census
They haven't been given a side to pick.
How hard is it to give a third option? They're not asking for anything other than that. Would have been just as easy to do that as it was to tell them to phone a number and talk to some random who wouldn't know.

I'm on holiday in the UK. There is a rare window of sunshine. Do I need to waste it to fill this thing out .... somehow and somewhere?

Re: The Census
Just finished submitting the census. Fairly quick process but really didn't like answering questions on income, detailed info on employer and how much hoovering I do. I do plenty of hoovering, that's all you need to know.
