Don't own thongs (apart from a joke pair of 'Guinness' thongs that are a health and safety hazard), my slides were $90 and have lasted over 3 year though 
For other footwear, cheap and comfortable is the key ... $35 for my works shoes and they are going to last forever.

Crocs are for single doods who are happy with that lifestyle. Also, I like thongs but every time I wear them I think I'm really making a decision about what I do that day. I'm pretty much letting everyone know that I don't wanna get chased at any point.
