After reading heaps of crap on here about "can we survive on anything between 50k and 300k"..."I want a house an hour from the CBD and close to a beach"..." what's Perth really like"...etc..etc

It's getting more and more difficult to help people when you dont know what their "lifestyle" really is...

So to try and help i've come up with an idea to use thongs (flip flops) as a common household indicator.

So how much do you spend on thongs..are you a $100 surf shop label person or a $2.85 from Kmart person..do thongs maketh the man/woman..

Never thought about it. We've done something in between 100 and 2.85.

I am at the bottom end of the market

I wear cheap n cheerfuls. I have odd pairs, cos I am always picking up flips that have flapped and flopped onto the rd.

Cant resist, extending my Thongism tendencies.

I am a Rivers thongs girl but once in a while when there's a sale on, I do get the urge for a pair of Havaianas - they definitely don't go flat quite as fast as Rivers, but Rivers - at $5 a pop are squishier to start with

I definitely feel more chilled day to day because nine times out of ten, I'm wearing thongs.

I've found the best thongs I reckon, purple, with little sequins, and they are fluffy! Much softer on the toes.

I'm definitely a havaianas kinda guy - have bought a coupla pairs in the last few months - one pair was $25, the other $30.

Also have a cheapy $5 pair from K-Mart for mooching around the garden, sorry - yard, in!

Used to wear cheapies in the UK, but have definitely discovered that the thongs maketh the man out here so tend to spend a little more!
