2 footy songs
These are well known footy songs in the UK and Australia - soccer and AFL. The purpose of posting them is that they are very good songs and one is a chance to mention that my Western Bulldogs managed to secure the Holy Grail (VFL/AFL flag) which eluded us since 1954. Hunters and Collectors performed at a recent AFL GF. The song is about Napoleon's march into Russia and H & C trying to crack the US market.
The Farm song has been used by Sky, English Football League, Everton FC etc and they even performed it in front of the Kop. It refers to WW1 and the unofficial ceasefire both sides declared to have a game of footy. It was going to be called No Man's Land but Eric Bogle got there first so it was changed to All Together Now. The Fureys had a worldwide #1 of Bogle's song as Green Fields of France.
Enjoy both, it's not an attempt to say which is the best game, which is the best song, another game is far better than either of these 2 or whatever. All good.

Ah, reminder of my teenage years - 'and I'm feeling Gladys all over'.
Another good footy song - the Hibees singing The Proclaimers Sunshine on Leith.
