Plumber required to supply and fit a new shower cubicle
Hello Everyone
Does any one know of a reliable plumber who could supply and fit a new shower cubicle in our apartment at Isla Canela?
Are there any shops in Ayamonte or Villareal that sell shower enclosures?
Thank you
Jane & Will

You could try asking Bart @ Isla Canela Tours He has a plumber that has done plenty of jobs for apartment owners.
As for shower enclosures etc. we got ours from the large bathroom showroom @ Lepe
Can't remember the name but it is located the second road back coast side in the middle of town. It's virtually next to a large hardware store that you mite find useful.
We didn't go for a shower cubicle instead we have a 3 door shower unit that goes the full length of the existing shower unit ,it is sprung loaded & the shop come & measure the gap,I fitted it myself it has never moved & I installed it a few years ago now
Hope this info helps

Thanks very much for the very informative reply Chris,
We are visiting our place next month so will check out the place in Lepe and also Canela Tours for a plumber.
We had not been in the apartment over the winter and visited last month - put the shower on hot to run through and heard a loud noise which resulted in a cracked shower tray, it is about 10 years old so at least we have had a lot of use out of it before having to replace it. It is a very small cubicle so it will be good to get a slightly bigger one fitted.

The Leroy Merlin at both Huelva (beside carrefour) and Loule (beside Ikea) both have a fantastic choice of showers and enclosures in varying sizes on display. Don't bother with the Corrales branch. You can also get an idea of cost from their website either .es or .pt. At least if you buy it and get it home you only have to find a fitter. Most concierges seem to know someone who does work.

There is a really good bathroom/tile showroom in Lepe, its about a mile out of town on the road to La Antilla, its called Abreu Gamma, we found them very helpful, in fact they have just delivered to us a new full length stone shower tray, shower screen and a new vanity unit, all top quality stuff, we have spoken to a local builder who we have had recommended, and he is going to install everything for us.

Thanks everyone for all the info - really helps - we are going to check out both the shop in Lepe and Leroy Merlin when we are out next month. Good to know they deliver from the local shop in Lepe as we normally only have a small hire car. Any chance of the contact details of your local builder please?

Hi Jane87. The local builder came from a recommendation by an English project manager who lives in Ayamonte, his name is Micheal his tel. no. 0034 635 911 925, he is on WhatsApp as well.
