Default Fibre internet on Esuri

I've just been driving past La Jara and saw 2 vans with numerous guys working. One van had Cobra on the side. This I've seen around for a few weeks normally near Vista and Marina. The other larger van had Fibre Optica on. The guys had manhole covers up

We may be joking the 21 century!

Are you sure they are not inspecting the drains using fibre optic cameras?

AFAIK there is no fibra optica trunk west of Seville so there would be little point in rewiring the local loop - half of CE doesn't even have copper!

I do not know what they are doing Just saying what I saw

I have googled Cobra and they seem to be a big company who are into major projects in many of the Spanish speaking countries

Grupo Cobra - Global Customer Loop Contract 2012 / 2015 Spain

Interesting link - I see that Huelva is included in that contract - maybe they are extending the fibre at last. Although it seems to include standard ADSL lines rather than fibre in the description so maybe they are completing the telefonica work on the rest of CE that Fadesa didn't finish? Who knows, will be interesting to find out - I have just ordered a Priinet service!

Also seen them working at the end of our road, with two or three manholes open
Calle de Miguel de unamuno, las lomas.
When I walked past later with the dog, they had left bundles of string in the bins, which suggests they were pulling cable through the man holes?.

"Come back all is forgiven!"

Having seen the smiley in your post, I'm sure there is a story here.... so hoping to see you both around CE soon... as 'part of the furniture'

... also I owe Mike a pint so you wouldn't go without getting that one in!

Jon

PS Fibre would be interesting... but I'm not holding my breath...priinet with its hiccups, still offers a service when it works, that is great for non-residents. So Mike you (we) are OK and as there is no contract obligation with them we can cancel quickly if there is a better option.

Apparently the cabling is for a 4g antenna. There are new telegraph poles on the Community land at the end of Lomas
