Do you have water meters in WA and roughly how much do you pay monthly for water (eg family of 4)?

We rent our townhouse and our water is included in the price, our landlord pays strata fees for this.

Dont know about anyone else though

I have the impression that the average renting cost is approx. $350/wk for a 4br and that seems to also include both water and rates? Anyone buying and paying for water?

Rates are included in the rent but we've found that the water costs vary from lease to lease. Water rates are included in our rent and also water usage up to a certain amount. We have to pay any water usage over that amount and get billed every 6 months. Make sure you read your lease thoroughly when it comes to signing.

However a friend of mine is renting too and her landlord is paying ALL of the water usage as well as rates.

That may be the average across the whole of WA, or the whole of the Perth -plus-suburbs area, but you need to bear in mind that it can vary hugely by location.
