If at some point you exchange your UK licence for a local one and the points on your virtual licence haven't expired they'll be added to your shiny new local drivers licence.

Yep!

Drove on my UK licence while on temp visa and got 2 speeding fines ... I was told on here by someone i'd get a fine, but NO points! ...

This happened, BUT once I applied for my QLD licence it came with 7 missing already ...
