Hummm.... you don’t get out much do you? Canberra’s highest temperature was 42.2c

I mean high 30’s to 40’s is normal here. In Dec it was 38.7, In January just gone our highest was 39.1, Feb 33.7... You should travel more.

And no, not from Canberra, just live here... but I know what a Bogan is.

You know full well the thread was not about Canberra's 2 weeks of summer I know you're not from Canberra, just thought I'd see whether you felt the need to tell me

That definitely looks like a hail storm.
One picture is dated 5th May 2005, in Autumn, not Winter, hence it was quite warm.
There was a big hail storm in Brisbane then.

Another 19th May 2005. 2005 was a good year for hail in Autumn. Winter is nicer though

According to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, it has not snowed in Brisbane in the last 60 years (email dated 11 Aug 2005)

I am so glad we moved from Adelaide to the GC. I know for sure I wouldn't have been watching my son in a footy carnival wearing a T shirt, skirt and flip flops in Adelaide. I would have been rugged up. I hated winters there.
What beautiful winter weather here.

At 7.30 this morning down here it was 7 degrees, only picked up at about 2, too much cloud cover to warm up properly, felt very English.

Heating went on for the first time today. It was either that or put a jumper on !

But of course it was warmer outside
