Default Lovely weather for winter

It is now winter, and at 11am it is a very nice day here...

20.1°C Brisbane
and up a bit higher it is...
20.3°C Darwin

But as we head south...

14.2°C Sydney
12.7°C Adelaide
9.5°C Melbourne
9.3°C Hobart
6.3°C Canberra

A felt a bit of a chill at that last one....

Yes, I missed out Perth.... but it isn't 11am there yet (14.5°C at 9am in Perth)

The great thing about Canberra winter is that the sky is always blue with hardly any clouds and hardly any rain. Lovely, summer is the same, only much hotter, but again rarely ever any clouds or rain.

14 and clear blue sky at the moment.

It's not quite as good here in Sydney, unfortunately..

We've had practically continuous rainy days for nearly three weeks. Set to go on till next Wednesday, too. I haven't used my brolly so much since I left England over 30 years ago.

Have to admit it's not normal. I'm really looking forward to getting back to the 'proper' Sydney winter weather - blue skies and sunny days.

Winter in Brisbane is far nicer than summer, not looking forward to the summer at all, hated it.

Doesn't bother me too much really, as long as the dams levels are going up. I've also downloaded the blueprints for Noah's Ark off t'internet so if the worst comes to the worst....

It was supposed to rain today but (surprise, surprise) the weather forecasters were wrong and it was quite a nice day. Just a little chilly.

It rained today here (Coogee). Started about 4pm. Not as bad as yesterday though.

It's unfortunate but I don't think the dam levels have risen much as the bulk of the rain we've had has been coastal only.

To be honest, I don't really mind it either as I know that we probably won't get any again for another three months. Much rather get our rain quota over and done with in one large dump.
