I am in complete and utter shock!!!!!
I just called the tax office in Australia, to discuss transfering money over etc and my concerns. The tax office asked where I was, when I told them I was overseas they called me straight back!!!! I then spoke to a really nice woman who has re-activated my tax file number from 1999, and was extremely pleasant to me answering my queries. I cannot imagine EVER the Inland Revanue in the UK acting in this manner, particulary with calling you back. Amazement!!
