As for the theme of the thread. Aus is a large place, one could say continental in size. It's so big that you can almost choose whatever weather you want. (Freezing cold 24/7/365 may be a little difficult unless you can get a posting to Mawson.)

yes im in ireland now its raining/ floods/cold wind it semms we have had this for 3 years. i lived in mt isa for 3 months in noth queensland in 1994, 50degrees on christmas day, have to say i loved it, but then it was a dry heat and i think it would be different if it was a wet heat.im a cabinet maker and worked out side mainly in mt isa but onece you took precautions and drank a lot of water ,walked in the evenings, i have to say while im looking at this rain/this recession and people moaning about the weather ,i am so happy that
i am healty enough that i can make the choice toimmigrate to australia again.
there is so many people sick and not able to make this choice.i am not selfish but just happy that i am alive and my family is healty.

Tell you what - Melbourne's been great in November. Loads of sunny, warm days.

Lots of rain too.

Ok in my world, I like it to be between 25 and 36 degrees.. when it gets to 40, I'm a bit grumpy. (SA had a fair few 40 plus days last January!)

I think the heat in Sydney is less tolerable, for me at least, because of the higher humidity levels there.

I believe in being comfortable. We have ducted RC A/C and I'm not afraid to use it... Our bill for Q1 this year, was $900! . Expensive, yes, but I think it's worth it.

The new outdoor Raid dispenser is really ACE at getting rid of the flies, if you want to enjoy eating alfresco, I thoroughly recommend it!

I think with some of these people - it's just an attitude. Not a very nice one maybe.

I loved it in Perth today - beautiful. Maybe you are just not that happy here, and so the "heat" annoys you more than it should?

36 really isn't too hot at all ... it's great beach / pool weather. You'll get similar maximum temperatures in countries on the Med where Brits flock to for their holidays.

If you can't stand the heat ...
