Re: Cheap flights via Expedia Brazil
I had a quick look and found cheap MAN-PER return flights at £540 per person. The other way around PER-MAN (which is what I'd actually need) still comes up at over $2k each.

Re: Cheap flights via Expedia Brazil
Had a quick look but it's difficult to tell - the site is in (Brazilian) Portugese (is there a button to click for English?) and the prices are in Brazilian Reals (R$) not AUD's.
I was trying to find Glasgow-Melbourne returns in business class to compare with recent searches I've done in the UK and I know the best prices for Emirates November departures (currently £3,300 return).
Current exchange rate is about 2 Real's per dollar, the economy fares which came up didn't look particularly cheap for GLA-MEL.
Will have a more detailed look when I get a chance. It would be interesting to compare with UK and Australian prices.

Re: Cheap flights via Expedia Brazil
Thanks OP for that very useful post!! I did have to download Chrome to get the instant translate, but I compared flights using Expedia.br and Expedia.com.au for flights from Syd->Dub flying Qantas. The exact same flights on Expedia.br cost 4,861.00 BRL (2,383.47 AUD) whereas on Expedia.com.au they cost AU $3119. The same flights directly from Qantas were AU$3089. Definitely worth using the Brazilian site!!

As an aside; it's interesting the Brazillian government is so against the imposition of fuel surcharges but not about the destruction of the Amazon rainforest.

Looks like the deal is dead for QF flights on Expedia Brazil.
