$7000 FTB Grant???????
On another forum it has been suggested that even 410 visa retiree temporary visitors are entitled to the first time buyers grant for their first purchaseof a house in Australia.
VCan anyone confirm or deny
1. a 410 visa holder can get the grant
2. If we did not know and bought 6 months ago can we get the grant in retrospect
3. Does the grant only apply to NEW homes or do 2nd hand ones still count?
4. If any of the above is correct How do we go about getting it NOW.
All suggestions gratefully received.

Have a look at this site for more info
www.firsthome.gov.au/
It can be a new or established home & I think you have about a year to claim the grant

Re: $7000 FTB Grant???????
The site quoted says:
"Eligible applicants must be natural persons, who are Australian citizens or permanent residents, who are buying or building their first home in Australia."
Holders of 410 visas are not permanent residents of Australia. Sorry.
