how much a hourly wage of R13 equate to a UK wage?
Im trying to work out what somebody in South Africa earning R13 per hour would equate to in GBP. Does anyone know? would it be the equivalent of around £7-8/hour?

On an average work week (40 hours) that would be about R2100.00 a month - before deductions. Brutal.

No. It wouldn't be enough to cover the shoe-leather required to walk to work. The only good news is that it is below the tax threshold. But that is about the only good news.

About £1.40/hour, depending on the exchange rate.
