Every year Ipswich welcomes thousands of new families who are choosing to build or buy their new home in he city to Brisbane’s west. Currently the area is experiencing the biggest growth phase in its history and this is unlikely to slow down.

The enormously residential developments of Springfield, Springfield Lakes, Brookwater and Collingwood Park are spearheading this growth. Springfield will eventually have a population bigger than Rockhampton. The number of new lots developed has doubled each year for the past four years and there are plenty more come; with early planning already underway for the proposed Ripley Town Centre and residential development, which will have an ultimate population of 100,000.

The city has 500+ parks and nature reserves, with the number one park for visitors being Queens Park. The Nature Centre and Nerima Gardens are situated within its fold, making this a wonderful green oasis in the middle of the city.

Ipswich also contains one of the most diverse ranges of natural vegetation types in south-east Queensland. This includes rainforest, dry vine forest, soft wood forest, open forests, woodlands, wetlands and grasslands that support an equally diverse range of wildlife.
