Working for UK company remotely from a EU country

I am working remotely for a UK company. I am thinking of moving to a EU country with low tax rates and working from there.

My understanding is that this should work like this:

a. the UK company pays taxes as usual
b. in the end of the tax year I tell HMRC that I am resident of another country and they refund the taxes (PAYE and NIC)
c. I fill tax return in the country of residence and pay the necessary amount.

Is that anyhow close to the reality?

You could ask for your pay to be paid gross, that means less messing about.
